What EraCode is

EraCode helps developers maintain skills with personalized challenges, optional resume and code analysis features, and subscriptions on paid tiers. This page summarizes how we handle personal information at a high level. It is not legal advice; we may refine it as the product evolves. For the rules of using EraCode, see our Terms.

What we collect

• Account data: When you sign in with an email magic link, Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn (when configured), we receive what that provider supplies for authentication—typically name, email, and profile image—to create and secure your account. LinkedIn is identity only; it does not grant GitHub repo access. GitHub sign-in does not grant repo access (repository connection is separate).
• Product usage and content: Information you generate by using EraCode—such as challenge progress, submissions, technologies you add, and billing records if you subscribe.
  • AI Code Review: challenge artifacts shown to you; your yes/no and follow-up answers; timing; grades; whether the play was competitive.
  • Work profile: optional company name and experience band in Settings. On first complete of a review attempt we snapshot those fields onto the attempt (null-only backfill later; we do not live-rename history from Settings).
  • Public boards: monthly Top Reviewers (names, subject to privacy toggles in Settings → Privacy). Monthly company and experience benches (group stats; k = 3; people who opt out of the people board still count in those group stats). Boards use UTC calendar months.
• Optional uploads: If you upload a resume or use code analysis features, we process that content to provide the product. Repository code used for GitHub-based flows is handled according to our product policy (transient analysis; we do not store your repository source code for that purpose).

Marketing email

Signing in does not add you to a marketing mailing list. We do not send marketing email today. If we introduce optional product updates by email later, we will use a clear opt-in flow.

Third-party services

We rely on vendors to run EraCode, including—for example—Resend (magic-link email delivery; your email and sign-in URL), Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments on paid plans), our hosting provider and analytics (such as Vercel), PostHog (cookieless product analytics to understand aggregate usage—not for advertising or cross-site tracking), Sentry (application error monitoring for reliability; error reports may include technical context but are not used for advertising), and AI providers (such as OpenAI) where you use AI-powered features. Their processing is governed by their policies and our agreements with them. Feedback you submit via our contact form (and any email you provide for a reply) may be relayed to internal team tooling so we can respond.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain personal information. If you have a privacy request, contact us using the email below when configured, or through account settings where available.
